Misc. text
There's a translation out for Chopsticks Girl. You're better off not knowing it though. :P
You're allowed to add words or effects or whatever to my icons. I'm not good with words so my icons are usually textless. >_>
I would really appreciate it if you would tell me if you have edited them though. I wanna see them. :D
The PV for bpm is by Shinkeisuijaku-P
The PV for Chopsticks Girl is by Sunabuki-P
Please credit the original PV makers for these icons (Example: "blablabla" PV by Shinkeisuijaku-P/Sunabuki-PP, sm5335863/sm8307462)
Naturally it would be great if you credit me too. But overall, I would prefer that you credit the original artists.

Bah.
So, Miku's birthday is coming up on the 31st. That means that pretty much all the best composers are saving their best songs for that day which is also why this week's songs have been pretty weak. Same with all the singers. So far, the only interesting thing from this week was this. Haha <3
But I totally don't mind. When the 31st comes... ah~
It'll also be the 100th Vocaloid Rankings post.
I'm really hoping that ryo or AgoAnikiP will be releasing something new now.

Meanwhile, I should totally be using this time to work on my essays D:

I'm a very, very happy Luka fangirl right now )

At one point in the video, there's a part where gorgeous images of Luka in various styles flash by at a rather fast pace. I took some screenshots on an expanded NicoVideo and I think I managed to get them all. Besides those, there's also an image that Dixie Flatline posted on his blog and an image that Yunomi posted on her blog.

Once again, the music is composed by Dixie Flatline and the PV is by Yunomi.

Stuff I did on the last days of tech.

Um, basically I got bored and I've been feeling really uncreative all year.
So I decided to doodle a Vocaloid song whenever it comes up on my iTunes (we're not supposed to have them out but no one really gives a damn). It's still very, very uncreative but I really wanted to just draw something so yeah.

Flash is probably the only thing I'll miss about that class.

Ugh. Now that I look back on those icons...

Man, the cropping sucks. >_>

I played around with the colors for this icon. It looks slightly better now but I can't help but feel like I should place some text on there. No idea on what to write though.

Also, something amusing.

There's a giant gap on her back. Very QUALITY! here. :)
I fixed the gap although her back still looks kinda funky.

Fun with generators!
I'm recording some of the stuff that amused me. It could be useful for next week. Job shadowing the counselor or the secretary. Whoo~ only slightly more useful than tech class. Maybe I can try to write or draw some of these ideas.

From the Symbolitron:
The story set in a world where the crimes recognized by the legal system map to the seven liberal arts (grammar-rhetoric-logic-geometry-arithmetic-music-astronomy). (("OBJECTION! This is no time for Sirius jokes!"))
The hospital story where each patient maps to the trinity of past-present-future. ((could actually be very very interesting))
The romantic story where the characters map to the four fundamental forces (electromagentism-gravity-weak nuclear force-strong nucelar force).
The light-hearted story where different styles of martial arts map to the seven liberal arts (grammar-rhetoric-logic-geometry-arithmetic-music-astronomy). (("I'll cosine your tangent bi-atch!"))
The psychological story about aliens where the characters map to the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism-Christianity-Islam). ((At the end, they to band together to crush the real enemy, Scientologists.))
The story where the levels of hell map to the thirteen guests at the Last Supper. ((This also has high potential for interesting times.))
The action-packed story where the eras of history map to kinds of spices. ((Also totes interesting. I can just picture the amazing outfits for each era.))
The story about zombies where the characters map to the three energies of Taoist internal alchemy (Spirit-Vitality-Essence). ((Zombies! <3 ))

From the History Scrambler:
Pablo Picasso - Dark Lord
Eleanor Roosevelt - Paranormal Investigator
Queen Victoria - Werewolf
Agatha Christie - Street Fighter
Oscar Wilde - Disco Sensation
Copernicus - Glam Rocker
Joan of Arc - Game Show Host
Emily Dickenson - Demon Slayer

From the What-If-inator
...the sinking of Atlantis involved personal computers?
...Charles Chaplin was a cyborg?
...the arrival of the Pilgrims in America happened after the fall of the Berlin Wall?
...Buddha was responsible for air travel?
...Christ had access to virtual reality?

Clothing Style Generator
Here's to hoping that I will actually attempt to draw some of these.

These people wear mostly silk in colors such as blood red, royal purple and peacock blue. The overall style is carefree and involves a lot of wrap-around skirts, puffy sleeves and bonnets.
These people wear mostly silk in colors such as lavender, saffron and mauve. The overall style is revealing and involves a lot of tight-fitting pants, baggy shirts and rings.
These people's style is generally understated, featuring a lot of asymmetrical hemlines and short capes. They wear colors such as saffron, burgundy and orange. The usual material is cotton.
These people wear androgynous clothing in bright warm colors. The usual materials are wool or vinyl, with straight pants and flared sleeves. Some wear round hats or wooden beads or bangles.
These people wear mostly linen in colors such as purple, peacock blue and sky blue. The overall style is airy and involves a lot of flared skirts, long cloaks and rings.

What better way to spend it than wasting time on icons?

Anyway, I've decided that I'll limit myself to one layer of texture only.
Simplicity is best!

Recent results of messing around:

....I can't help but feel like I'm being too influenced by [info]smelltheflowers though. Especially with the Haruhi against purple background icon. ._.;
Her icons are so gorgeous! However, it's important for me to not copy other people and attempt to find my own style.

Other attempts:
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
They're ok... I guess. It feels boring though. They look like the thousands of other icons lingering around on lj. To be honest, they feel more like bases than anything else.

Anyway, it's kinda annoying how small the girls' noses and mouths are. >_>
On the Haruhi with guitar icon, I had to resize the mouth separately so that it'll be visible. For the Mikuru icons, I frequently had to use dodge so her nose will show up.
Yuki is perfect <3

Ugh. Totally not a good day today.
I bombed a math test and I suspect that my teacher is shipping me with the NASCAR loving Republican.

Sample Comments This Week (blablabla, I accidentally left my stuff in the class again, he took it up and handed it to her or as she called "secured it for me". He's an idiot and then left his work in my laptop and then the next day I had to go hand in his work for him)-
"You should kiss him! Or hug him or something"
"Aw, isn't it nice how you two look out for each other"

......
...
. . .
No.
Goddamn, I'm fond of trashy romance novels too but seriously, this kinda stuff doesn't work in real life.

She is also totally idiotic and, frankly, extremely lazy. I worked like two or so hours on an essay that totaled three pages and it took her (literally) five seconds to read through it and put 100 on there. Pffff, I could probably write in lines from porny slash fics and she still wouldn't know. It's ridiculous and I'm just wasting my time in that class. I spent half of last week just randomly browsing through ONTD_P (thank god for idiotic filtering systems that block livejournal.com but not [blank].livejournal.com), Boing Boing, and Reddit.

The Great Euphemism Generator!
F5 for endless fun!

Anyway, we got our PSAT scores back (82 percentile, way to fail self way to fail ;_; ) meanwhile a naturally smart friend (one of those smart but absolutely refuses to do any homework and therefore gets put in remedial classes all the time) got a 96. >_>
So my parents are using this as an opportunity to remind me of how dumb and lazy I am because my friend who they always thought of as dumber simply because of the whole not Asian thing did waaaay better. Also, lots of "I'm so disappointed in you"s about how Asians are supposed to be good at math and whatnot.
*le sigh*

Speaking of which that same friend has been refusing to return my stuff.
I honestly cannot comprehend how she keeps on forgetting. It's getting ridiculous. I made her muffins and placed them in a lunchbox. On that day, I told her "oh take the muffins! Eat them on the way back to class!" but no, she insisted on taking the lunch box with her so she can eat it during lunch (screwy schedule thing, we eat at different times). She eventually convinced me to give up the lunchbox for a while. God what a mistake.
The next day, I ask for my lunchbox back.
"Oh I forgot!"
The next day.
"Oh I'll bring it tomorrow!"
The next day.
"I forgot again!"
The next week.
"Sorry, this keeps on happening!"

It continues like that for around two months. ಠ_ಠ I have no idea how she can keep on being so consistent with forgetting. I still don't have my lunchbox back btw. She now thinks that she has lost it. Hooray. *sigh* It's not that I have any special attachments to the lunchbox or anything but I'd love to have it back, hard economic times, one less thing to buy for college later on (I'm also planning on never eating out until I pay off my future school loans) etc. etc.

For our English class we had to do a book report. Naturally, most of the books are checked out by the time I get to the library. At least it's somewhat stimulating the economy.
Anyway, for the first nine weeks, I bought One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (which is a totally awesome book btw). For the second nine weeks I bought Of Mice and Men (also a totally awesome book btw).
Same friend as above asked if she can borrow One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for her report for the second nine weeks. I allowed her to borrow it. The day of the report, she left the book at home.
Next day.
"Oh I forgot"
Next day.
"Ugh, I still don't have it."
Next day.
"Forgot again!"
Next day.
"Sorry!"
And the lost book has been continuing like this for a week. ಠ_ಠ

Meanwhile, I ask if I can borrow her book on driving (...I probably should've taken the learner's permit test a while ago but). She says yes and that she'll bring it tomorrow. On the next day, I ask her about it again and she says that it's at her dad's house and that she'll have it by Thursday or something. That's totally understandable.
The fact that she continues to forget to bring the book, on the other hand, is not.
If she doesn't want me to borrow it for a while I don't get why she can't just say no. :|

I'm starting to think she has early onset Alzheimer's or something.
Honestly, I have no idea why she would do something like this on purpose. She's way wealthier than me (The driver's ed books is probably like $15 or $20 or something. The lunchbox is around a couple of bucks and the book is around $10 or so. Very inexpensive minor things. The loss isn't major but it is majorly irritating.) considering she can afford a Wii while I've seriously never even touched a GBA in my entire life (I had a Neopets tamagotchi though \o/ ). Meh. I just hope I can have those things back soon.

*sigh*
And now my mom's blaming me for not getting the items back. I love their logic.
